We don’t measure up to God’s holiness because of
our sin, our disobedience to God. Our sin keeps us from having a relationship with God. God loves us, but sin
is offensive to Him. Sin creates a gap between
God and sinful people.
"But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear." Isaiah 59:2
